We finally took the plunge!

Rett experienced his first dose of oatmeal cereal today! He did such a great job. I had him in the bumbo on the floor and feed him the oatmeal. He was so eager that he started to just feed himself! I think it's fair to say that more food ended up in his tummy rather than his clothes, but who knows!

I had given him smashed up avocado the other day. He was hysterical! I think the smooth texture of the mashed up avocado got to him. He just shivered all over!

As you probably noticed little Toby just had to join us for a family first!

6 months old

Guess who is 1/2 year old?! I can't believe my little guy is half way to a year. On the 13th of this month, Rett turned 6 months old. He has been developing right on task.

He can:
-sit with minimal support
-reach for objects (he especially likes cell phones and keys)
-bring himself up to all 4 and rock
-attempts to drink from a sippy cup (really it's me helping him, but he loves it!)

Rett is wearing size 3 diapers and in 6-9 month clothing for the most part. I plan to take the big plunge this Sunday to start baby food! I've been really nervous about this phase but have had some wise counsel of my sisters and friends that haven't been removed from it all too long. I have to work this Saturday and of course Rusty wants to be there so hence the big day being Sunday. I keep telling Rett what's in store but he doesn't really get it... shocker I know. He cried so hard the other day when I was eating some crackers and didn't give him one. I know... my baby is hungry.

Go Preds Go!!

We in the Goodsell home are cheering on the Predators!

Rett doesn't really get the fang fingers. I have to attempt that I didn't either in the beginning!

Too sweet!

Here's hoping preds beat your team! Happy fang fingers!

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful Easter day it was. The weather was beautiful and the sun was shining! We started our Easter with church followed with Kelley and Bella coming over for lunch and an egg hunt! It's been our tradition since Rusty and I have been married. It's our own family holiday! I think it will be interesting to see Rett next year try and find the eggs with his cousin. She never really has competition finding the silver egg, even though I always hunt eggs with her.

Rett opening his Easter bag from his Aunt Kelley and cousin Bella.

This is really how they always are together... Rett can't stop looking at Bella, Bella doing an odd face, and Kelley laughing in the back ground.

Probably our best family picture. I won't even post the 20 others we took.

Bella and I before the hunt. I guess I get a little into it:)

And take a look at that lawn!! Rusty has been working on it so hard every weekend! His dad would be so proud!

She got the silver egg. Maybe next year Rett?
Hope everyone lives this week in remembrance of His eternal sacrifice. Christ is risen from the dead! We are one with Him again! Hallelujah!
